Qigong

At National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM), a primary focus of the Chinese medicine program is a gentle but powerful Chinese form of exercise called Qigong (Chi Kung).  Similar to Taiji (Tai Chi), it uses simple movements and visualizations to help invigorate and supplement the body’s energy.  Most Qigong is done standing and is not very difficult to learn or practice.

Qigong is a wonderful accompaniment to a regular treatment plan, helping the body to self-regulate, helping with muscular tension, posture and body awareness among many other benefits. We announce Qigong classes being taught on our Facebook page and our Calendar. As of August 16, 2011, one class is being taught by Ann Krueger at People’s Coop on Thursdays at 6pm upstairs in the community room. The cost is $2-5 sliding scale, and everybody is invited!
